Biography
Nicolas Chachereau is a historian whose research focuses on themes at the intersection of the history of technology, of the economy broadly understood and of the environment. After studying history, political science and German literature, he completed a PhD in modern history at the University of Lausanne. His research interests include the history of intellectual property, especially of patents, and the history of energy. He is also interested in the use of digital and computational methods in history, and in the challenges this brings.
