EPFLETUEDOCEDNE

As a neuroscientist, I'm interested in neural circuits for emotion, how emotional states guide decision making, how information across time scales and memory/experiences are integrated to make decisions, physiological clocks and the processes and computations required for cognition.

Outside of the lab, I love to travel, learn about art, history, culture, languages with their syntax and etymologies and video games, fabricating tools and devices (and also how I can make these interests a part of my work!)

Professionals experiences

Research Fellow

Designed and built closed-loop behavior tracking setups for fly aggression, courtship, social crowding, risk-taking, gait and limb movement.

Studied the role of Dsk-expressing neurons in the control of inter-fly aggression

Collaborator

DigitalRhythmsProject: Built methods to track a proxy of wake and sleep cycles using phone activity metrics

Visiting Student

Designed methods to study rhythms in redox state across an ex-vivo fly brain for multiple days
