Bio
Rafael Pires has a PhD in Computer Science (2019) from University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and is currently a lecturer and researcher at EPFL, where he works with system problems that intersect with privacy and decentralized machine learning. He holds two Master's degrees (Computer Science, 2009, and Mechatronics, 2014) and worked in the industry and public sector in Brazil with computer forensics, robotics, distributed systems, and embedded systems.Publications
