Bio
Rafael Pires has a PhD in Computer Science (2019) from University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and is currently a postdoc researcher at EPFL, where he works with system problems that intersect with privacy and decentralized machine learning. He holds two Master degrees (Computer Science, 2009, and Mechatronics, 2014) and worked in the industry and public sector in Brazil. During this time, he was involved in projects as varied as embedded systems, robotics and computer forensics.Publications
