Registered as an Architect in France, educated at the University of Sydney and the School of Architecture of Paris-Malaquais, Richard Nguyen is practising in the fields of Architecture, furniture and product design through his office SAMPLES. Since 2010, he compliments his professional work through academia at the Ecole Speciale d'Architecture of Paris alongside Sir Peter Cook, and directed his design studio at the Ecole Supérieure de Design Industriel in Paris. From 2014 til 2018, he acts as Scientist and Research and Academic coordinator of the SUBLAB at EPFL. Alongside Prof. Dominique Perrault, Juan Fernandez and Ignacio Ferrer, he is co-author of the Groundscape Design Lab, a architectural project oriented MOOC on EdX. In 2016, he is awarded the Gold Polysphere as EPFL best professor from the school student body.
