Biography
He has a master degree in mechanical engineering from the EPFL and PhD from the Institute of Aerospace Thermodynamics of the University of Stuttgart.In 1999 he started as a scientific researcher in laser diagnostics for the study of combustion in gas turbine combustors at the German Aerospace Centre.In 2005, he joined Robert Bosch Corporate Research GmbH. As an intrapreneur and senior expert in fluid mechanics and agile product development developed future products and advised different business units of the Bosch Group. Parallel to his activities at Robert Bosch, he gave lectures in fluid mechanics.
He joined EPFL in 2018, and in 2019 he was appointed Head of Operations and Corporate Relations at the Vice Presidency for Innovation to foster technology and knowledge transfer to society at the interface between industry and academia. He speaks French, Swiss-German, German and English.
