Shuxin Meng joined the DCML as a doctoral assistant in 2021, after finishing her B.S. in Symbolic Systems and M.A. in Music Science & Technology at Stanford. Previously, she was trained in Pipa (a Chinese plucked instrument) performance at the Central Conservatory of Music in China. Her research focuses on understanding the cross-cultural factor in the computational and psychological study of musical structures.
