Shyam has background experience in research at university and working in multi-disciplinary firms including Maki and Associates, Tokyo, and FORUM8 Co,.Ltd, Japan trained as a System Engineer with expertise in smart city, mobility, urban design, and planning. In 2022, he commenced his Ph.D. at EPFL as a Global leader fellow (Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant) as part of the Laboratory of Urbanism and Urban Sociology Laboratory. Under the direction of Prof. Paola Vigano and the Co-direction of Prof. Vincent Kaufmann, his research regards SMART CITIES, Socio-spatial injustice, and its relations with mobility, ecology, and digital technologies to stimulate the sharing between the affluent and underprivileged residents in Hyderabad city, India. In 2017, he concluded his master's in Environmental Design and Governance at Keio University, Tokyo after obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Urban and regional planning from the School of planning and Architecture-JNAFAU, Hyderabad, India in the year 2014. He started his career as a system engineer at FORUM8 Co,.Ltd, Japan for 3DVR Simulation software support for Architectural, City, Transportation, and Civil engineering after obtaining his Master's degree.
