Simon Fanica Buijsman
Biography
I studied physics at the University of Groningen in The Netherlands. My initial focus was in the area of theoretical physics, but I soon developed an interest in the power and versatility of computational techniques to study physical systems. I did my research under supervision of Prof. G. Onderwater and Prof. K.H.K.J. Jungmann. The main topic of my research was to study relativistic and transient effects in the magnetic kicker of the muon g-2 EDM experiment at J-PARC in Japan. Now, I am very excited to work at CERN in collaboration with Prof. Mike Seidel (EPFL) and Giovanni Iadarola (CERN) on XSuite modelling of the electron beam in the Swiss Light Source, located in Zürich.Education
