Biographie
Postdoctoral Researcher in the Molecular Systems team in the Simulation Neuroscience Division. At Blue Brain, Stéphanie’s research focuses on the communication between nerve cells in the brain and the blood vessels, which is one of the keys to understanding the link between vascularization and brain function. She works on the impact of nerve cells, the astrocytes in particular, on cerebral blood flow.
Before joining Blue Brain, Stéphanie obtained a Ph.D. on the topic of metabolomics, the global analysis of small molecules called “metabolites” that can predict the survival and clinical outcomes of patients. She worked on determining how cancer and cancer therapies interact with the metabolism at different levels. Her Ph.D. was awarded several times at international conferences and from the Society of Biology of Strasbourg, France, in 2018. Stéphanie holds an M.Sc. in Fundamental and Medical Physics from the University of Grenoble, France, and a B.Sc. in Fundamental Physics from the University of Marseille, France. Prior to this, she completed a paramedical diploma in radiography from Marseille, France.
In her free time, Stéphanie enjoys spelunking (in limestone caves and in glacial ice caves), hiking, trekking, kayaking, traveling, reading and cooking.
