Biographie
Tanja Egener-Kuhn holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology, following her studies in Molecular Biology at the University of Marburg, Germany, and the University of Oxford, UK. After completing her doctorate in 1998, she pursued postdoctoral research in plant biotechnology (University of Freiburg and BASF) and human health (University of Lausanne).With a growing interest in academic management, she shifted her focus from research to administration, coordinating several prestigious centers, including the National Competence Center for Biomedical Imaging (NCCBI) and the Center for Biomedical Imaging (CIBM). Her leadership roles were complemented by a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Non-Profit Management. Since 2021, she has served as Deputy to the Dean of Basic Sciences at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
