Biography
I am from China. I obtained the Bachelor of Engineering from Jilin University in 2007 and received the Ph.D. from University of Chinese Academy of Science in 2013. My doctoral study was dye-sensitized solar cells, with emphasis on ionic liquid electrolytes, dye molecules, and semiconductor/electrolyte interfaces. From 2013 to 2015 I was a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Gerasimos Konstantatos's group at ICFO-The Institute of Photonic Sciences (Barcelona, Spain), where I studied the surface of nanocrystals and developed efficient and photostable colloidal quantum dot solar cells. Since November 2015, I have been a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Photonics and Interfaces directed by Prof. Michael Graetzel at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. My research interests are back to dye-sensitized solar cells with copper complexes redox electrolyte. In July 2018, I joined H.Glass (Switzerland) as a department manager, leading a team to develop dye-sensitized solar cell technology for energy glass products. I’m always looking for highly motivated engineers and researchers with strong backgrounds in nanomaterials, thin film processing, and solar cells to join the team to develop robust dye-sensitized solar cell technology. My email address is yiming.cao@h.glass and please contact with me if you are interested.Mission
H.Glass develops energy glass products based on mesoscopic DSSCs invented by Prof. Michael Graetzel. The mission of the H.Glass is as follows: – Build high utilization of light standard housing with H.Glass modules – Produce enough energy ourselves without fossil energy consumption – Access convenient and modern solutions at a reasonable cost, integrating different green technologies – Recycle organic rubbish to gas and fertilizer through micro biogas systems – Easily produce organic food and clean water in-house – Go back to human nature: reading, writing, living an active lifestyle, communicatingProfessional course
