Mission
Je suis responsable des activités de recherche expérimentale du LRS à l'EPFL, principalement sur le réacteur expérimental CROCUS et la cavité d'irradiation LOTUS. Je suis également adjoint du Chef des installations nucléaires O. Pakari. Enfin, j'enseigne à destination des étudiants de Physique et en particulier du Master en Génie nucléaire, par le cours de Détection de rayonnements, et les travaux pratiques sur le réacteur et dans nos installations.Je suis actuellement membre du Conseil de Faculté des Sciences de base, et ce depuis 2016.
Biographie
J'ai effectué ma thèse de doctorat sur la mesure de sections efficaces de réactions (p,n) sur accélérateur à l'IRSN, suivi d'un postdoctorat sur le développement de détecteurs neutron pour la physique des réacteurs au CEA, les deux en France au centre de recherche de Cadarache. J'ai été recruté par Andreas Pautz pour prendre la direction des activités expérimentales du LRS, et en particulier relancer les expériences sur le réacteur nucléaire CROCUS. Je suis en poste à l'EPFL depuis octobre 2014, en double affiliation avec l'Institut Paul Scherrer depuis 2016, où j'ai soutenu ma tenure en 2020.Parcours professionnel

Mon travail actuel consiste à analyser le programme expérimental PETALE, portant sur les données nucléaires de l'acier, et à préparer les prochains programmes dans CROCUS sur des mesures de flux intrapin (NECTAR) et de réactivité par oscillation d'échantillon (BLOOM). Je co-encadre la thèse de doctorat de Thomas Ligonnet sur l'analyse et l'extension de PETALE dans le cadre du projet HARVEST-X.
Mes doctorants Fanny Vitullo et Yifeng Jiang (co-encadrement en collaboration avec le CEA en France), dont les travaux portent sur le développement de mesure neutron en cœur par scintillateur miniature et fibre optique, et sur la modulation neutronique en réacteur, ont soutenu leurs thèse en septembre et octobre 2022, respectivement.
