Biography
He has a degree in mechanical engineering from the EPFL and PhD from the Institute of Aerospace Thermodynamics of the University of Stuttgart. He started his career in 1999 as a scientific researcher at the German Aerospace Centre in the Institute of Combustion Technologies. In 2005, he joined Robert Bosch Corporate Research GmbH within the department of Applied Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics. He continued as a Project Manager for the development of new automotive products based on his own patented technologies and acquired broad experience as a Senior Expert in fluid mechanics and agile product development. Parallel to his activities at Bosch he gave lectures in fluid mechanics at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart and is still active as a consultant in his field of expertise.
In 2018, he moved back to Switzerland and joined the EPFL as Head of Business Development at the Vice Presidency for Innovation. Since September 2019 he is Director of Operations of the Vice Presidency for Innovation. He speaks French, Swiss-German, German and English.
